It feels like it has been an eternity since I landed at Heathrow Airport in London last Monday morning. The week has been packed with orientation meetings, social gatherings, bus tours, sightseeing, a West End play, boat party on the Thames and a trip on the London Eye. Combine all of that with jet lag, culture shock, and early mornings (as to not miss the free breakfast) and that equals a hell of a week.
Kensington is beautiful and living in The Royal Borough is unreal. It is one of the nicest and wealthiest areas in London, but probably not the best for a poor college student living on a budget!
The next few weeks are going to be crazy-busy, but also super exciting. On Wednesday, two other girls and I are flying to Ibiza, Spain for the weekend. We’ll fly back to London late Saturday night so that we’re back in time to go to Bath and Stonehenge with the university Sunday morning. We got tickets to the Chelsea vs. FCB game the following Wednesday, London Fashion Week show on Thursday and then off to Paris on Friday for the weekend as a university field trip. Is this real life? No, I don’t think so.
