The 24 Hour Atlantic to Pacific Challenge

For our first of many three day weekends, Phil (my official “If i decide to leave this town you’re obviously coming with me” partner) and I decided to go on an adventure- see the Atlantic sunrise and Pacific sunset in the same day.

So again we pack our bags and head to our first (and what is becoming my favorite) destination: Puerto Viejo!

This time we chose the Observatory room in Rocking J’s which was well worth the cost! We basically stayed in a treehouse for two nights.

We decided to stay in Puerto Viejo for 2 days and then make our trip to Manuel Antonio (the Pacific Coast) on Sunday. On our first day we added to the mosaic on the wall and went swimming! The next day we took pictures of the sunrise. Here are some of our photos!

Then we hopped on the 6am bus and rode to San José, made our bus station transfer, and got to Manuel Antonio by 4pm- more than enough time to catch the sunset!

It was a beautiful day up until then. The storm clouds were rolling in right around sunset time but it still counts!

After a good night’s sleep, some pretty awesome food, and a day at the beach, we headed back to San José. Mission Complete!

Pura Vida,

Ebony

P.S. We swam in both oceans in the same day too…winning!
