AIFS Takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge!

We were challenged by our colleagues at Au Pair in America in London to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, but some of the staff were a bit hesitant. Luckily, our President and CEO, Bill Gertz, was up for it and agreed to be doused with ice water for a good cause.  Along with a personal donation, AIFS is matching employee donations to help fight ALS. To find out more about the challenge and how to donate visit alsa.org.

Of course, part of the challenge is nominating someone else! Bill has nominated Dr. Allan Goodman of the Institute for International Education (IIE), and his son, Matt Gertz, of Media Matters. We’ve posted it to our facebook, twitter, instagram, youtube, and everywhere we could think of, so take note! You have 24 hours!

And we challenge our students abroad to take the challenge and donate as well! Many of our fall semester students are just arriving to their new homes abroad. What better way to bond with your new roommate than dumping a bucket of ice water over her head?
