We’re getting ready for our favorite time of year – International Education Week!
What is it? IEW is “a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education that provides an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.”
We are reaching out to our alumni and students abroad to ask them what international education has meant to them, and how it has impacted their lives. Send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and tell us about your experience with international education and exchange. How did it impact you? What was it that impacted you? A certain class you took abroad? Your host family? Did you have an internship, a volunteer project, or an adventure that taught you something important about the world? Send us an email and we may highlight your story during International Education Week!
So share your story with us, get involved with an event on your campus, and look out for other ways to participate, like the Gilman Scholarship’s IEW Photo Contest!
