What’s it like to be abroad right now? Our friends over at Richmond in Florence sent us the schedule for November and we thought we would share it. Because Wednesday means pastry-making class when you’re abroad!

November 1: Festa di Tutti i Santi! A religious and public holiday in Italy, not just the day after Halloween like it is here…
Monday: Richmond Soccer Tournament! Cheer on your classmates against Lorenzo de’ Medici
Tuesday: Italian Cooking Class. Menu: Pumpkin tortellini, stuffed zucchini, and crepes with caramelized apples.
Wednesday: Guided tour of the Duomo
Thursday: Weekend trip to Rome!
Monday: Pizza making class. Become a real pizzaiolo and then eat your delicious creation!
Tuesday: Italian Cooking Class. Menu: Ravioli with ragu sauce, chicken cacciatora, panna cotta with berry sauce.
or Dinner with Italians. Practice your Italian and make new friends!
Wednesday: Pastry Class. Learn how to make profiterole with chantilly cream and white chocolate ganache, mini wild berry tarts, and champagne Bavarian cake.

Thursday: Lecture: The World of Food Blogging
or visit the Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella. This historic treasure was founded in 1221 by Dominican friars shortly after their arrival in Florence. The pharmacy used medicinal herbs from the monastic gardens to make medications.
Friday: Visit to the Textile Museum in Prato, Italy’s largest center for the study, conservation and exhibition of textiles.
Saturday: Visit the Fattoria di Maiano in the Tuscan countryside and learn about the olive oil making process.
