Sometimes you get lucky and get up close to events like the changing of the guard, but sometimes you don’t. And thats ok! These events happen all the time. There are so many fun things to do around the city and you can take pictures anywhere.

IMG_3836For example, this week I went on a walking tour with my class and our professor showed us these stairs. At first I was confused as to why he would bring us to these steps, but then he told us a story about Captain Thomas Blood, one of the most notorious villains in British history. He had planned to steal the crown jewels from the tower of London but was arrested at these exact stairs. He was then put into a cell in the tower of London where he told the guards that he knew of a plan to assassinate King James. He was brought to King James and, for reasons unknown, he was pardoned and then worked to protect the king. In London, even the most basic of places can mean a lot, and the most basic pictures are worth 1,000 words.
