AIFS offers a unique International Internship Program (IIP) through Richmond, with campuses in London, Florence and Rome. Students can spend a semester or summer gaining a comprehensive understanding of their field and taking coursework that complements and enhances their internship placement.
The IIP combines workplace learning with classroom-based study and regular review sessions with supervisors and Richmond faculty. In addition to a weekly summary, students submit a final internship portfolio describing and analyzing the workplace, the industry and goals achieved, including work they have produced during the internship.
Placements are tailored to students interests and field of study.

- Food and Mediterranean Studies

- International Business
- International Relations and Political Science
- Hotel Management and Tourism
- Marketing
- Psychology and Social Sciences
- Theater
And more. This past year alone students have been placed in internships ranging from architecture to journalism to non-profit and non-governmental organizations. And just this fall we had students travel to Paris Fashion Week and China for a trade show.
