International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.
This annual initiative aims to “promote international understanding and build support for international educational exchange by encouraging the development of programs that prepare Americans to live and work in a global environment,” as well as “attract future leaders from abroad to study in the United States.”
Next week we will be sharing stories from students and alumni about their experiences and the impact international education had on them. How did your experience abroad impact you and why is international education so important? Connect with us on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) and share your story with us with the hashtag #IEW2015
