Before arriving to Florence, I had the opportunity to spend two days in London through the AIFS Flight Package. London is full of life and is stunning. I had a fantastic time and came up with my top five favorite things I saw and did while I was there.
1. Changing Of The Guards
Before entering the gates of Buckingham Palace, my tour guide had us there right on time to see the changing of the guards. The guards marched out of the gates and onto the streets where they followed through with their daily ceremony. It was so crazy to see how they all were so in sync with every single movement they make. It is definitely an experience that screams London and I will never forget it.
2. The London Eye
Unfortunately, the London Eye was not up and running while I was there, but it was so beautiful to see it lit up at night. All of London lights up from this enormous monument. It is the largest ferris wheel I have ever seen. It is larger than the ferris wheel back at home in Chicago at Navy Pier. From the top of it, you can see all of London. There are 32 pods that make up the whole wheel and each pod seats 25 people. While in the capsule, passengers are allowed to get up, move, and take as many pictures as they please.
3. Big Ben
Big Ben is so much bigger than I ever imagined it would be. It is one of the biggest and most popular tourist attractions in all of London. It is so enormous that my friends and I used it as a home base to meet at. As long as we were able to find Big Ben, we were able to find one another again.
4. Fish & Chips
5. Buckingham Palace
