If you are considering applying to medical or law school in the future, you should investigate new summer programs with AIFS at University College London (UCL). These programs provide an effective introduction to the grad school environment.
UCL is London’s top-ranked university and enjoys an enviable location in the center of the city. The AIFS London-UCL summer program enables you to select courses in subject areas such as: Health & Medical Sciences, Security and Crime, Law, Sciences and Education. UCL features in the global top twenty universities for almost all of these subject areas.
The summer program runs for six weeks in July and August, giving you the option of studying one credited course over three weeks or two credited courses over six weeks.
Teaching takes place Monday to Friday, combining classes with UCL academics, guest speakers, group projects and industry visits. Thanks to a thriving international student body, you’ll share classes and make lasting friendships with students from all over the world.
Outside of the classroom, you can attend a variety of social events hosted by both AIFS and UCL, and each session offers an optional weekend in Paris, traveling by Eurostar to visit the incomparable City of Lights!
Medical Sciences courses include Nanotechnology in Medicine and Nerve Injury Treatment; the latter of which includes spending two weeks studying at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH). The RNOH is the UK’s leading specialist orthopaedic hospital, recognised internationally for its outstanding patient care, research and education.
Additional health courses include Population and Public Health; Global Health: Local and International Perspectives; and Illness, Health & Healing in Ancient Greece.
Law modules include Introduction to Law; International Trade and Maritime Law; International Commercial Arbitration; Corporate Social Responsibility; Intellectual Property Law; Anglo-American Business Law; and Law, Lawyers and Social Justice.
