Cultural activities, travel excursions and community engagement opportunities are all very fun—and important—aspects of a well-rounded study abroad experience. Last fall, some of our AIFS students learned this first hand, as they participated in a major fundraising event in Florence. Lucky for us, they sent along some great photos from the event to share!
Corri La Vita is an annual marathon and road race to benefit LILT Firenze, which is the Florence branch of the Italian League for the Fight against Cancer. It’s a huge event, and every year thousands of people from all over Italy and Europe participate. Corri La Vita 2016 included a competitive marathon and a non-competitive walk.
Four of our students participated in the non-competitive 5.2 kilometer walk, wearing the official t-shirt designed by Ferragamo for the event.
