Nadia a student at Santa Rosa Junior College shares with us why she chose to study abroad in Florence. We loved hearing why Nadia decided to call Florence home for the Spring Semester and how she has found her study abroad experience so far.
“I chose to study abroad because I wanted to broaden my horizons by experiencing a different way of life and a new culture. Florence appealed to me as I have always been fascinated with Renaissance art. I figured that Florence would be the perfect place to get my creative juices flowing.
AIFS has also been a great home base, they have provided consistent support and an exciting program. I have met some incredible people, and the program is thoughtfully laid out to provide a rich, well-rounded experience. My favorite activity has been the wine tasting day trip. It was refreshing to leave the city and explore Tuscan wine country. All while enjoying an engaging and informative tour and the best lunch I have had so far. After wine tasting we attended the Fiorentina soccer game, which showed me a very fun aspect of Italian culture. I know my time in Florence will be life-changing.
