My name is Teresa Nguyen. I am 19 years old and I attend a California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). On 23 of January 2019, I stepped out of my comfort zone to study abroad in London, England. With this opportunity, I wanted to record my adventures via video. And then the opportunity rose to be a student blogger. I enjoy writing, but I feel like these blogs should be more tailored to my style of socializing and media interaction. So, instead I am going to be doing one-minute-reads every once in a while. Short and sweet.
Why I’m studying abroad
Choosing to study abroad came with many reasons. The main one was that I wanted a change of pace and moreover, to physically put myself into a completely new environment in which adaptation was absolutely necessary. With that said, being abroad has changed me so much for the better; although I do still have a few of my old habits (eg. sleeping through my alarm clock), I have developed new habits that would make “old me” proud. A lot of the videos I will be posting are going to be just a week’s worth of clips. It serves as a way to preserve my memories and experiences because I fear I will forget some of the beautiful architecture here, or the outstanding infrastructure or even the brilliant artwork in the various museums.
I am new to vlogging and blogging, but I am committed to these new aspects of my life. Again, my name is Teresa and hope you enjoy following my adventures!
