Take a Sneak Peek at Our New 2020/2021 Study Abroad Programs!

We just can’t contain our excitement any longer! The new AIFS catalogs are coming soon, but in the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at the fantastic new study abroad programs making their debut in Summer 2020 and beyond.


1. Queensland, Australia – Bond University

Located along Australia’s famed Gold Coast, Queensland boasts beautiful beaches and easy access to the stunning Great Barrier Reef, while Bond University invites AIFS study abroad students to select courses from their extensive full curriculum across many academic fields.

2. Paris, France – The American Business School, Paris

Complementing our existing study abroad programs in the lovely “City of Light,” this new semester program hosted at the American Business School, Paris, offers a wide range of courses (taught in English) in business and related fields, helping to prepare students for today’s global economy in one of the most beautiful, exciting cities in the world.

3. Valencia, Spain – Universidad Catolica de Valencia

Located on the Mediterranean, Valencia is an ideal location for study abroad students interested in studying health and natural sciences in Spain! From its lively beach and port area to its historic Carmen neighborhood, to its futuristic Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias, this unique city seamlessly blends centuries of Spanish culture and tradition with modern attractions.

1. Bridgetown, Barbados – The University of the West Indies

Students on this exciting new program will gain a real insight into Afro-Caribbean culture, studying topics ranging from the colonization of the Caribbean to modern day Caribbean thought and culture, against the backdrop of beautiful azure water and white sandy beaches.

2. London, England – St. George’s University of London

Attention health and science majors—our newest program in London offers students a chance to explore global health challenges in one of the most diverse, dynamic cities in the world!

3. Paris, France – American Business School, Paris

Offering not only business courses but also French language, photography, and more, our new summer program at the American Business School, Paris, gives students plenty of time to experience French life and culture by holding classes two days per week.

4. Madrid, Spain – Universidad Nebrija

Now offered as a summer program, AIFS in Madrid gives students a true taste of this lively European capital city, while also providing several program options to suit many different academic interests. Students can study Spanish language, art, business, education, tourism, and more, while also exploring Madrid’s royal palaces, world-class museums, and exciting nightlife.

5. Study & Travel (Multi-Destination) – War and Society

Experience not one but TWO iconic European capitals—London and Paris—on our new War and Society: 1000-2000 AD program! This exciting new program explores how countless fights, battles and wars in both ancient and recent history have shaped society and culture in Europe and beyond.

6. Study & Travel (Multi-Destination) – Japanese Culture: Past, Present and Future

We are so excited to expand our program offerings in Asia in Summer 2020! On this program, students will explore the history and culture of Japan, from the ancient city of Kyoto, to the historically significant cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, to the technologically advanced and trendy city of Tokyo.

7. Study & Travel (Multi-Destination) – Southeast Asia: History, Conflict and Culture in Vietnam and Cambodia

Our second new summer offering in Asia explores the history of the Vietnam war through visits to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) in Vietnam and Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, two historic Cambodian cities renowned for their ancient temples. Students on this program will discover the people, history, and culture of these two intriguing countries.
