Through a gift from the Cyril Taylor Charitable Foundation (CTCF), the Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is offering the Cyril Taylor Memorial Scholarship for Study in the UK.
About the Scholarship
Any student studying abroad in the United Kingdom during Summer and Fall 2020 and the 2020-2021 Academic Year are eligible to receive up to $10,000 from this scholarship, depending on the term selected:
- Fall Semester 2020: $5,000
- Summer 2020: $3,750
- Academic Year 2020/2021: $10,000
This scholarship may be applied to the AIFS study abroad programs in England or Northern Ireland.
About Sir Cyril Taylor
Sir Cyril Taylor had a long and distinguished career in public service and education. In 1964, he founded AIFS and dedicated his life to the enrichment of young people through education. He was the founder and Chancellor of Richmond, the American International University in London, the first university in the U.K. accredited to award both U.S. and U.K. degrees.
Sir Cyril served on the board for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust and served as High Sherriff of Greater London. He was appointed Knight Bachelor in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 1989 for services to education and was advanced to a Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (GBE) in the 2004 New Year’s Honours list.
