Hello everyone! I am Anthony Walton and I will be a senior this fall at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Originally from Dayton, OH, I came to BSU to pursue a career in business and that is exactly what I have done. I am a marketing major, English minor and on campus I am involved in many different clubs and student organizations. I am a member of the BSU American Marketing Association, the Ph.D. Pathways Program, as well as a Peer Advocate Leader for the multicultural center. Studying abroad for me was a way to expand my perspective and really see what the world has to offer. I grew up in an environment where diversity was embraced and encouraged, so it was vital for me to have part of my educational experience take place in an international setting. London, England is one of the most diverse cities in the world, and my time as a student there allowed me to meet and network with students and professors from all over. I was able to travel to three other countries with new found friends, and my semester abroad has started the fire within me to travel for the rest of my life. I encourage everyone to study abroad, especially underrepresented minorities, because the world is just too big to not go out and experience as much as you can! Where there is a will there's a way, and in my experience I have found that if you just take the first step… the universe has a unique way of making sure everything else falls into place.
