Hi! My name is Emily Fisher and I'm from Pasadena, CA. I'm pursuing a writing major and public relations minor at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. In my spare time, I enjoy writing, hiking, and cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers. When I was seven, my mom and I accompanied my dad on a business trip to Spain. Although I was technically out of the country, I don't really count it because all I really cared about at that age was if our hotel had a cool looking pool. I decided to study abroad because I figure I'm a little more mature since that point and I would like to travel the world in search of new cultures, viewpoints, and experiences-- not the coolest hotel pool. I transferred to PLNU as a junior, and it didn't make sense for me to take a semester away from a new school to study abroad, so I decided to go this summer. I've always wanted to go to Greece, and I felt like it was a good mix of familiarity (Mediterranean climate and whatnot) and getting out of my comfort zone. I'm excited to embark on this new adventure and hopefully share my experience through the AIFS blog!
