Hi! My name is Mackenzie Hudson and I am a senior at Saint Michael's College in Vermont but studied abroad at Veritas University in Costa Rica during the spring semester! I can't believe this is my last year but studying abroad made my time fly by even faster. I will graduate with a major in biology and in Spanish while being a part of the pre-health program and a Division II athlete for the St. Mike's Field Hockey team. I've always been busy but that's how I like things. Living in Costa Rica was an unforgettable experience and taught me to slow down to enjoy and appreciate life even more. Becoming part of my host family was extremely rewarding and I am already planning on going back to visit. I am a complete beach bum, love the ocean and all things that have to do with the ocean like paddle-boarding and kayaking. Field hockey is also a very large part of my life. My study abroad experience left me with a thirst to travel more, learn more languages, and continue to learn more about cultures all around the world. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to study abroad and get out of their comfort zone. I hope to share my experiences from studying abroad and look forward to working with AIFS as an Alumni Ambassador!
