Here are several options to study in Greece with English course instruction, to give you the flexibility to include studying abroad as part of your full collegiate experience!

  1. You can take a course in art history, history or international business this winter during January term with AIFS—and all courses are instructed in English! Winter intersession / January Term is a great time for a life-changing introduction to the beauty, culture and history of Athens. Our program includes a day trip to Delphi and the Sanctuary of Apollo plus great sightseeing activities, a Greek food tour, traditional dancing and much more.
  2. If summer study abroad is a better option for you, choose a 4- or 8- week program in Athens to earn 6–12 credits. Students during summer session in Athens may choose from a robust offering of courses taught in English—and choose to study Greek language, too! In addition to cultural and sightseeing activities around Athens, a Greek Island tour is included to experience the legendary beauty of this remarkable nation.
  3. For a comprehensive immersion into Greek life, you can choose a fall quarter, fall/spring semester or full academic year abroad in Greece with AIFS. As with the summer option, you may choose from courses taught in English with the option to study Greek language. A day trip to Delphi and the Sanctuary of Apollo, a day trip to a Greek island and a day trip to Nafplio and Palamidi Castle are among the many cultural activities and travel excursions included in your program fee.

AIFS students live and study on the beautiful campus of DEREE – The American College of Greece. Founded in 1875, ACG is the oldest and largest independent, American-sponsored school in Europe, and more than 85% of the year-round student body is Greek.

Located on a beautiful, wooded hillside, the tree-lined campus is an ideal setting in the lovely suburb of Aghia Paraskevi. ACG offers modern classrooms, an impressive library and Olympic-quality athletic facilities. Fun fact: ACG was chosen as the official training site for the 2004 U.S. Olympic team!

It’s important to follow your dreams, get out and explore the world and experience new places and cultures, so don’t hesitate! Even if English is your only language, AIFS programs in Greece will have you experiencing life in Athens with comfort and confidence.

Greece is the perfect place to study. There are some world class universities like Erasmus, AUTh, National School of Judges Students and many other. Studying in these universities brings some amazing career opportunities. Totally agree with the point that the students can also opt for the courses that are in the English language. I have seen many international students who have studied in the Greece. The only accommodation problem they face. But, there are also many student accommodation companies to have the perfect houses in the affordable price.
