AIFS Abroad students attend Sogang University, which is rated among the top universities in the city. This institution of approximately 8,000 students has over 1,300 that are international, creating a strong global atmosphere. Located in the exciting and dynamic area of Sinchon, right in the heart of the city, students have easy access to all of the incredible things Seoul has to offer — everything from world-class museums and art galleries to a thriving food and social scene.
1. Semester
During your spring or fall semester in Seoul with AIFS Abroad, you’ll take four or five courses and earn up to 12 to 15 credits. Our students can choose any undergraduate course taught in English from Sogang University’s course catalog, subject to prerequisites. If you have a high level of proficiency in the Korean language, you will have access to additional courses from the course catalog, subject to prerequisites. Korean language courses are also available.

2. Summer
When you choose our summer term in Seoul, you’ll choose up to two courses at Sogang University. A Korean language class will be offered in the morning — available in Beginning, Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced levels — followed by an elective of your choice taught in English in the afternoon. Students can opt to do one or the other for a 3-credit experience, or combine both for a 6-credit experience.
