AIFS Program: Grenoble, France | School: Louisiana Tech University | Bio: Hi! I'm Olivia Miles! I'm graduating from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor's in English on May 21st. I have had a passion for writing ever since I could pick up a pen. I've spent the past few years discovering who I am as a writer and exploring different writing styles. I've worked for Odyssey, an online social media platform, since December 2015 and currently serve as the Editor-in-chief of the Louisiana Tech branch. In addition to writing, I love sports: volleyball, soccer, and tennis being my favorites. I like to cook, read, and paint in my free time, as well as meet new people. My mother offered to send me on a European trip as my graduation present; however, I knew that I would rather study abroad and spend my time grounded in one place. I want to improve my French and learn more about language as a whole, and I know that I will gain valuable knowledge during my experience abroad. I look forward to residing in a homestay during my time in Grenoble and learning more about the French culture and language in the process. I would be honored to share my experiences with other students in order to encourage more students to study abroad.
